About
We unlock your child's potential with our unique online one to one tutoring service tailored specifically to children with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
We support you when it can feel like no-one else does.
Our specialist EBSA training ensures the focus is on fostering a supportive learning environment, understanding children's feelings and collaboratively developing strategies to support the learner to achieve their potential.
We have extensive experience and specialist training working with primary aged children with a wide range of Additional Support Needs (ASN), including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, hearing and vision impairments, English as an additional language and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
All educators have a PVG check and child protection training; your child's safety is our top priority.
We are proud to be the only provision for EBSA children in Scotland, offering supportive and nurturing learning experiences that provide choice and foster positive well-being outcomes.
Our specially developed programme ensures we provide support to improve health and wellbeing outcomes, in tandem with academic success.
Our Practitioners
Clair-Louise Mulcahy
I am a fully qualified primary teacher with 15 years experience in the classroom at all stages. My focus is helping children overcome anxieties around school and learning, to enable them to grow in confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum without pressure, and at their own pace. I believe in supporting learners so that they feel more confident and proud of each success. I’m an understanding and compassionate educator who takes the time to develop strong relationships with my students and develop their knowledge and understanding in the best way that suits them.
I work closely with the children to find the best arrangements for them and allow them to feel in control of their learning in a safe and supportive online space.
I build strong relationships with children and strive to make learning fun, active and engaging. I match my teaching to the needs and interests of each individual learner. I can help address gaps in learning and accelerate progress in numeracy and literacy (including phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, writing skills etc). I am also able to support in areas such as primary school French/Spanish and across the full primary and early years curriculum.
